Our Firm Philosophy

The philosophical foundation upon which this law firm was originally established was as valid over 25 years ago as it is today. It is based upon a deeply held belief that by providing quality, caring and honest service to each and every client, we can build a base to grow a successful and personally meaningful law practice. Imbued in each employee associated with our firm are three "R"s to which we constantly adhere: Respect for our clients, Respond to our clients and Represent our clients vigorously, pursuant to the highest professional standards of the legal profession. The Orlow Firm is a father and sons law firm that has represented the people of New York since 1981. Our firm consists of three partners - Steven Orlow and his sons Adam and Brian - and our full-time secretarial, paralegal, and clerical assistants. We also use the services of several part-time investigators and case experts. Our firm maintains a small firm environment in which we stress the importance of providing individualized service. We accept and vigorously pursue both large and small cases. Our intention is to serve clients and meet their needs after a traumatic incident by obtaining any and all compensation to which they may be entitled.

Fee Arrangement

At The Orlow Firm, we take all cases on a "contingent fee" basis. A contingent fee means that the attorneys are paid only at the time when, and if, they recover money damages for the client. A contingent fee thereby allows an injured person with little or no financial resources to obtain competent legal assistance. At the time recovery is obtained, the attorneys’ fee is a percentage of the award in the case. If there is no recovery, there will be no attorneys’ fees.*

Even before retaining either our firm, or any other firm that you may eventually choose, be certain that you do not speak with any insurance company representative that may contact you, and do not give any kind of statement in written form. It is of the utmost importance that you speak to an attorney before speaking to any such representative, since it is very possible that you might innocently jeopardize your case, or prejudice any future recourse, through an inadvertent or misdirected statement.
